Project Overview
Executive Summary
-
CulinaryCommand is a web-based application designed for restaurants
to simplify kitchen prep list organization and task assignment. It
enables managers to oversee inventory, coordinate prep across
multiple restaurant locations, and streamline back-of-house
operations.
Problem & Value
-
Currently, restaurant managers—including in Matayas’s dad’s
restaurants—struggle to efficiently track prep work and inventory
across multiple locations. This leads to wasted time,
miscommunication, and inefficiencies. CulinaryCommand solves this
problem by centralizing prep lists, inventory, and assignments into
one secure, easy-to-use platform.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Manage and organize prep lists across multi-location restaurants.
- Assign responsibilities based on employees’ roles.
- Role-based access prevents unauthorized changes.
-
Maintain a shared order list: missing items logged by staff
automatically update the system.
-
Secure authentication, structured database design, and clean UI
ensure security, usability, and maintainability.
Technical Approach
- Tech Stack: Blazor with ASP.NET Core Framework
- Database: MySQL
- Hosting/Deployment: Deployed through AWS
-
Security: RBAC/IAM, enforcing AWS IAM to enforce
fine-grained access control
